The Great Crave Game

Materials: Paper and pens
Have the mommy-to-be write down her cravings and have her describe them to their guests without saying the name of the food. It will give the baby shower guests a lot of laughs and reminiscing about their own "mommy wants."

Dress The Baby

Materials: Several rolls of toilet paper and a timer
Divide the baby shower guests into groups of 4-5 people. Each group selected one member of the group to be the "baby". The other members of the group dressed the "baby" in a bonnet and diaper out of nothing but toilet paper. The Mommy to be judged the best outfit! Very fun and silly baby shower game!

Take Care of Baby Egg
Materials: Hollowed Out Eggs or Easter Eggs, baby shower present, paper stuffed in one egg stating winner
Everyone gets an egg (the fillable plastic Easter ones) to take care of. If you leave your egg unattended, some other observant momma can adopt it, and likewise, if you see an unattended egg, you should do the right thing and adopt it. Whoever has the most eggs at a set time gets a prize. Rules: You are permitted to get a babysitter for your egg(s) when you go to the rest room or whatever, but make sure it is someone you trust not to neglect your egg(s). You are not allowed put your egg in a pocket or purse or otherwise hide it. Also, as an added surprise, unbeknownst to the guests, one egg had a little paper baby inside, and whoever had that won a prize.

St. Patrick's Day Baby Shower

If you have your baby shower around the time of St. Patrick's Day, it can work out very well as a baby shower lucky clover theme. A few ideas are to use the theme of "A Pot of Gold", "Green", "Four Leaf Clover", and "Leprechaun". A cute baby shower idea is to have everyone sign a four-leaf-clover or Pot of Gold theme board stating, "Friend's Name Pot Of Gold!" and pointing to the tummy of the mommy-to-be. Another idea is to have a Leprechaun on sheets of paper with a text bubble next to them or on a big poster board and give the parent's to be some ideas that would be helpful for their preparing for their little "Pot of Gold".

Symbolic coin and gem candy, including green candy, rainbows and leprechauns are great to place on tables of the baby shower. Serving green (food color) finger food and having pot of gold centerpieces or things with Happy St. Pappy's (and Mommies) Day can be cute! Spread colorful (rainbow) decorations and coins on tables is a nice touch for the Saint Patrick's Day celebration. The Baby Shower St. Patty's Day theme is cute and works all throughout the month as well as the days prior to the "Lucky" day. Have the mommy to be look for the "pot of gold" at the party and hide relevant gifts (diaper packs, pacifiers, baby shower frames).

Baby shower decorations can be purchased at any party store that sells St. Patrick's Day decorations such as green cups, place settings and other items. The use of rainbow colors and of course anything in green are festive for the month. Four Leaf Clover balloons and rainbow streamers can also be used and green punch can be given as a drink! Party hats/derby's with the same green theme would be festive. A Baby Shower pot of gold can be given as a gift which would have diapers, toys, and more helpful items in the pot for the parent's to be.

Wall decorations can be clovers, leprechauns, and other St. Patty's Day related items, with the use of green streamers, derby hats, balloons, and rainbow art to bring in the festive holiday.

There are so many ways to tie in St. Patty's Day to the baby shower theme. We also have tons of other ideas throughout the site and hope you enjoy our information. Have a great time at the upcoming party and we hope to help out in your planning with babyshower101.com. HAPPY St. Patrick's Day

Baby Shower Count
Materials: pens, paper
Prior to the baby shower, have the baby shower planner choose a baby shower decoration theme (i.e., duckies, teddy bears, etc) and count them up. Tableware (i.e., Plates, napkins, cups) with the pattern would count as one each. At some point during the baby shower, have each guest guess how many of that object are in the room and write down their answers. (i.e., decorations, plates, napkins). This can be adapted to any theme. Give a baby shower gift to the winner. An easy but fun baby shower game thanks to Cathy.
